The Islander was manufactured by Wayfarer Yacht Corporation in California.
Take the helm of an Islander 32 and head for the open sea where crisp winds and frothy sprays washe away the cobwebs of life. The Islander is all you need to go around the world and this particular vessel is ready to go with it's extensive upgrades and good maintenance. With a roomy deck and a spacious cabin there's accommodations for six aboard with room to spare.
The Islanders hull and deck are constructed of moulded fibreglass with non-skids surfaces and on this boat they show well. Bulkhead facings, dinette, drawers, cabinets, cabin liners, mouldings and hand rails are all of Mahogany and well finished. The bulwarks are teak and painted this spring with a high gloss multi-coat marine finish.
In 2008, this vessel was refurbished including a new SOLE' 26hp diesel engine and a new aluminum mask, boom and rigging, anchor windlass, anti skid deck finish and hull refinishing
In 2019 all the stainless steel rails were replaced with some additions and 2 100 watt Renology solar panels mounted to provide of the grid power for the vessel. No need to rely on shore power with this new and innovative system.
The vessels power is supplied by 2 12v HD batteries [1 house and 1 starting] on a 3-way battery isolator switch.
The fresh water cooled power package will cruise the vessel comfortably at 5.5 knots with a top rating of 6.5 knots and she carries [reported] 10 gallons of fuel.
Her rigging includes a 'Harker Cruising 1" roller furling head, 2 x two seed winches for the main and 2 x two speed winches for the halyard.
The main sail is DACRON with two reef points and standard battens and the GENOA 1355 is on the roller furling.
The running rigging is double braided one and in good serviceable condition.
For safety and shore trips there is a 'OCEAN AIR"  9' inflatable with a YAMAHA  6hp outboard
Electronics include a VHF radio, LAWRENCE HDS5 GPS/Chart/Sounder, HUMMINBIRD 160 Sounder, SIMRAD TP32 Autopilot, RAYTHEON R21 Radar and two RULE bilge pumps [360/1500GPH]
Ground tackle includes a DELTA 35 lb. anchor on 150' 5/16" hi-tensile chain and 100' 3 stranding line with a LEWMAR windlass and foot switches. There is a DANFORTH 13# spare anchor.
Below decks is laid out with a forward v-berth and storage.
The deckhead and hull sides are carpeted.
There is an enclosed head with a JABSCO manual marine toilet [no holding tank] vanity with stainless steel sink and pressurized water [40 gallons]
The salon has a hi/low table of the PORT side. [Two person berth]
The starboard side has a raised counter with hanging locker and ample storage.
The cabin is heated with a bulkhead mounted DICKINSON [propane] heater.
The galley counter has a stainless steel sink and SHIPMATE four burner stove/oven.
A quarter berth is located on the starboard side aft of the galley.
There is great access to the engine compartment and on the port side is the power control panel.
