The Bayliner 265 pocket cruiser is a full featured vessel that give spacious overnight comfort with towing ability to expand one’s horizons.
Whereas many builders of pocket cruisers are targeting couples, the 265 is more of a family cruiser.
The boats contemporary styling and futuristic side windows allow significant ambient light into the cabin, making for an interior that feels larger than it actually is.
The main cockpit is spacious for a vessel of this style. At the helm a reversible driver’s seat adjusts forward and aft, but is not height adjustable. The steering wheel tilts upwards to create more legroom when driving in the standing position, and all the gauges are clearly visible whether driving standing or seated.
The cockpit has a refreshment center with a molded sink and a hatch that converts to a cutting board
A glass wrap-around windscreen deflects wind up and over the main and aft cockpit giving driver and passengers a comfortable ride. The navigator’s seat is also reversible and converts into a sun lounge when folded.
The designers left the gunwales high all around the cockpit but trimmed the width to open it up. The width also allows the steps to be extra-wide on the console up to the bow deck.
This 265 comes with the aluminum radar arch overhead wired for electronics and there is a full canopy cover for foul weather or getting out of the sun.
By laying the rear transom lounge down, there is ample room here to accommodate a family of four for a spot of fishing.
There is a hot/cold hand shower recessed into the transomand hookups for shore power and fresh water.
Below decks the wide beam allows for a spacious saloon with 6’3” headroom.
To port is a full galley with Propane stove and burners, fridge, sink with hot and cold pressurized water and storage for pots and pans.
On the starboard side is a one-piece moulded head unit that can be used to shower.
A starboard side built in microwave is opposite the galley in the cabin
Forward of the the galley is a dinette that has a removable backrest and table. The table can be dropped to make a large sleeping area capable of accommodating three adults.
Under the cockpit sole is the guests/children’s cabin, which features a double bed and opening window. When lying on this bed the height of the ceiling above your legs is only about 3′, but there’s plenty of room above your head and chest so you won’t feel claustrophobic.
A large hatch in the cabin roof and four large windows and two portholes flood the main cabin with light and ventilation.
